Revising our Seasonal Espresso blend

The latest revision to our current seasonal espresso blend comprising of 3 different lots of coffee from 2 different farms. 
  50% Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (Brazil) 
 30% Finca El Zarzal, Loma Alta (El Salvador) 
 20% Finca El Zarzal, Maravillas (El Salvador) 
  With the new harvest of Brazils arriving in January, we are pleased to re-introduce our direct trade coffees from Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza - into our 2nd year working with these awesome guys. Making up the remaining of the blend are 2 micro-lots of coffee from Finca El Zarzal of El Salvador, which we visited on our recent trip to Central America. This blend is 100% sourced directly from our partner farms. 
 In this cup, expect hints of raisins, cherries and caramel. Red fruit acidity is prominent on first sip but is nicely balanced with a medium body, ending off in a syrupy cup with a long sweet finish. This should be a crowd pleaser. Grab a bag and let us know what you think!

New El Primero

Introducing the latest revision of our popular El Primero blend, a new take of the original classic when we first launched with the opening of our retail/roastery shop. Out goes another of our favourite coffee Finca El Carmen from El Salvador, to be replaced by another carefully sourced bean from Finca La Escondida from Nicaragua. Together with our trusty Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza from Brazil, we are really excited that our seasonal espresso is now 100% direct trade and sourced directly from our partner farms. 
 In this cup, honey and caramel sweetness flows through the moment you take your first sip. Red cherries on a syrupy body dominates, lifted by a soft grape-like acidity and finishes cleanly with lingering hints of toffee and cacao. We are very happy with this new creation and reckon it will be here to stay for a while. Come by and let us know what you think!

El Primero Refreshed

We loved our 1st incarnation of El Primero - the extra sweetness and cherry acidity from the Peru El Guabo beans balancing out our really clean Brazils from Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (our 1st direct trade coffee) in the blend. Sadly our last batch of the blend flew off the shelves over the weekend BUT we are really excited with our refreshed El Primero Seasonal blend, replacing the Peruvian with another of our favourite coffee - Finca El Carmen of EL Salvador. 
 In this cup, we get loads of fruits, think red fruit and dried raisins. Grape-like acidity balanced with a medium body. A sweet clean cup with a long finish. Thoroughly enjoyable as an espresso or with milk.

Launching the retail of our El Primero seasonal espresso. Being our first flagship blend, the name feels appropriate as it means “the first” in Spanish. This blend consist of beans from 2 different origins: 
  60% Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza, BRAZIL 
 40% El Guabo, PERU 
  In this cup, we get wonderful aroma of dried red fruits and caramel. Expect pleasant red fruit acidity, medium body in a balanced cup, finishing off with a beautiful and long candy-like sweetness and dark cacao finish. 
 Also available on our bean rack is the super jammy candy-sweet Finca El Carmen from El Salvador, with distinct rose hips flavours on the first sip. This is a very clean cup to enjoy for your everyday brew.
