Bringing back the same coffee from the farm that we featured last year - Los Eucaliptos by Jhon Faber Laguna.

The most interesting fact about this coffee is the variety, which is one that is known as Ombligon to the locals in the department of Huila. Our friends in Colombia suspect that this is a natural mutation from one of the varieties that was introduced by the country’s coffee institute, Cenicafe, to combat coffee rust and improve quality in the 90s.

With the help of our exporters Banexport, Jhon and his wife have actively adopted the advice on improving his pickings and processing of his harvest from his 3 hectares farm. Having really enjoyed this coffee when we cupped the sample last year, we bought some of this small lot to share with our customers. This coffee exhibits black currants and stone fruits acidity, caramel sweetness coupled with a rounded mouthfeel. Unassuming, sweet and comforting - another really enjoyable coffee from Colombia.
