Finca La Gloria is owned by the Gutiérrez family for more than 30 years. It is now under the helm of Maly Gutiérrez, whose husband, Federico Pacas, helps to manage the farm. Several varieties are grown and harvested each year in La Gloria, including Bourbon, Pacamara, Pacas and a local variation named Hibrido del Paste. The farm went through a renovation to remove the old trees in some areas of the farm and production has increased since. All coffee beans are hand-picked at the end of the season and carefully sorted according to the different varieties that make up the farm´s production. The cherries are delivered and processed at Beneficio Tuxpal, which is also run and managed by Federico. This Bourbon lot from La Gloria works incredibly well as an everyday espresso. Prominent notes of dried fruits, like raisins, and hazelnuts with an incredibly sweet finish. The texture is creamy and definitely a crowd pleaser.
