This is a new lot this year from the Wolenso Daba Coffee Plantation located in the South Western region of Oromia. Located at an altitude of around 1900 masl, the plantation sits in a tropical rainforest with indigenous tree cover.

The varieties grown are traditional heirloom landrace types and picked for their disease resistant traits that are certified by the national research centre. Growing practices are focused on balancing social, economical and ecology sustainability without using chemical fertilizer and insecticide.

Compared to the natural processed Ethiopians we have featured at Nylon, this cup exhibits quite a different flavour profile to a cup that is more fruit driven.

As an espresso, expect ripe tropical fruits like papaya and banana, coupled with a big mouthfeel that is almost chewy. Finish off with distinct dark chocolate in the aftertaste that leaves a long lingering finish!
