Plastic straws have been ubiquitous in our daily lives. The resident population in Singapore consumes over 2.2 million straws per day, many of which end up in our drains, canals and eventually the oceans. Plastic waste takes many years to break down, leaching micro-plastics into our water system. They even pose a direct threat to wildlife and marine life. It's time we do our part to reduce our plastic footprint by making small changes to our lifestyle, starting with carrying our own reusable straw!
