Wathenge factory is in Gaturi, located in Muranga county, Central Kenya. It serves 4 villages, and there are 262 active farmers delivering cherries to this factory. Farmers mainly grow SL 28, 34, and Ruiru 11 varieties. The cherries are harvested by hand and undergo wet processing, after that, they are sun-dried.
